Shorted out power wire from the alternator left it stranded on my home road. But luckily one of my dad’s friends was coming down the road right when it happened so i didn’t have to walk. I also got to use a fire extinguisher so that was cool

Still pretty even when it’s broken.

My father owned one of those 20+ years ago and according to him he ended up rewiring most of it on the side of the road as it broke or shorted out piece by piece (he was a mechanical engineer). He always carried a spool of wire, tape, wire strippers and a multi-meter in the car.
A deer ended up ending the car's life not long after he got it running reliably* (for an italian). He also owned a Fiat 850 spider before the Alfa but had to upgrade to something with a back seat.
Sorry- got a bit rambly there. Good catch not letting it burn to the ground, I wish you the best of luck with the beautiful machine.

I was thinking the same thing lol I’ve been wanting to do a side of the road photoshoot with it for awhile but I didn’t think it would be today

they always try to burn to the ground when you least expect it. get a fresh extinguisher.
remember to always keep something to drink/eat in the car, comfortable walking shoes, comfortable jacket, good hat to keep the sun off you. you get the idea, be comfortable when youre walking.
glad you caught it before it went up.
